Dr. Carrer is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. She attended medical school and Residency at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, in New York City. She did her Fellowship training in Spine Surgery at the renowned UCSF Spine Center in San Francisco CA. 

Dr. Carrer is the co-founder of the Comprehensive Orthopaedic & Spine Institute. Dr. Carrer’s objective was to form a practice where patients can access all gamut of musculoskeletal treatments for a wide spectrum of conditions including acute sport injuries or overuse conditions, occupational injuries, and high energy injuries such as work related or motor vehicle accidents. 

Patients are treated with a holistic approach and are offered treatment and education in traditional and alternative medicine. A network of physiatrists, pain management doctors, primary care physicians, chiropractors and nutritionists work in a multidisciplinary fashion to optimize your health and recovery.

Dr. Carrer has published several peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, as well as delivered speeches and presentations at several national and international conferences. Dr. Carrer is a member of several professional associations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, North American Spine Society, and Society for Minimally Invasive Surgery.
